Training Programme starting in September 2012

During the next twelve months, we are hoping to finish the first phase of a four phase building project. This facility will give us an exciting facility for all age ministry. Children's and youth camps will be the main focus with other activities planned for other age groups. In September 2012, we are offering a one year training programme for those who are looking at full time Christian ministry.

Roof Tiled and Windows going in

Apologies for not posting many blogs recently, but life has been hectic! We managed to grab a weeks break in Keswick in the Lake District at the beginning of the month. Olly, from O.P. Manning roofing, managed to quickly respond to our request to get the roof tiled. We had four guys on sight and they really made good progress. It truly looks a great job and we are now dry inside enabling further work to continue.

School's Work

We have many year's experience of going into various schools in different situations throughout the UK. We are very sensitive to the fact that we are often teaching in a multi faith environment and so we make it clear that what we are presenting is 'What Christians believe' and 'What the Bible teaches'.

School Assemblies

Normally, we have around 15-25 minutes to take assemblies and we are happy to take whole school assemblies in the primary sector. In secondary schools, we can take whole year groups or colleges made up of students in years 7-11. We often use powerpoint presentations on the big screen with graphics which are created by our full time artist Graham Kennedy.

Lunch Time Bible Clubs

These are often 30-40 minutes in duration and any children from any background are made very welcome. We always have a Bible story and quiz, along with other activities which will help the children learn more about the Bible.

Christian Union's in Secondary Schools

Generally these are for about 30-40 minutes and seek to encourage christian students within the school as well as explaining the Bible's message and relevance to those who are interested. We encourage the students to think through the issues and come to their own conclusions.
