Training Programme starting in September 2012

During the next twelve months, we are hoping to finish the first phase of a four phase building project. This facility will give us an exciting facility for all age ministry. Children's and youth camps will be the main focus with other activities planned for other age groups. In September 2012, we are offering a one year training programme for those who are looking at full time Christian ministry.

Roof Tiled and Windows going in

Apologies for not posting many blogs recently, but life has been hectic! We managed to grab a weeks break in Keswick in the Lake District at the beginning of the month. Olly, from O.P. Manning roofing, managed to quickly respond to our request to get the roof tiled. We had four guys on sight and they really made good progress. Roof going on the plant room
Roof going on the plant room

As the temperatures dropped over the last couple of days, we woke up to find that our mains water had frozen plus the toilet and sinks! Tonight is meant to be colder even though it said -6 this morning when we got up!

Dodds Roofing Services turned up early this morning despite the poor conditions on the roads. All three of the men worked tirelessly until darkness fell to complete the felting and tiling. It looks superb with the metrotiles and now means that we can continue with the plastering indoors and get the window and doors fitted. This space will be a very useful storage area over the coming months.

We’ve also had a trustees meeting today and we would like to move forward with the next stage of payments to True North Log Homes as well as starting on the basement. John Powell has now given us an estimate for the design stages which we are pleased to be able to get going with.
