Training Programme starting in September 2012

During the next twelve months, we are hoping to finish the first phase of a four phase building project. This facility will give us an exciting facility for all age ministry. Children's and youth camps will be the main focus with other activities planned for other age groups. In September 2012, we are offering a one year training programme for those who are looking at full time Christian ministry.

Roof Tiled and Windows going in

Apologies for not posting many blogs recently, but life has been hectic! We managed to grab a weeks break in Keswick in the Lake District at the beginning of the month. Olly, from O.P. Manning roofing, managed to quickly respond to our request to get the roof tiled. We had four guys on sight and they really made good progress. It truly looks a great job and we are now dry inside enabling further work to continue.

Bible Exhibitions

Scene from Noahs Ark
These quality exhibitions have taken place extensively around the UK over many years. There are over one million children that have experienced the exhibitions. Foundation Matters sees the importance of an all-inclusive educational experience and so the emphasis is on teaching the facts and making sure the children understand that they are learning about 'what christians believe' and 'what the Bible teaches'. Normally, a church makes a request for us to visit their area and the local church sponsors the event so there is no cost to the school. The vast majority of schools request that we go in on a yearly basis. We are happy to go into any school.

The Amazing Journey

Children are taken around the six display screens which take the children on a historical timeline through the Bible. They will see where the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans fit into history. The children experience a fifty minute guided tour meeting biblical characters along the journey. Afterwards, they have the opportunity to answer a quiz sheet, dress up in Bible Times costumes, and taste Bible Times food.

The Life and Times of Jesus

This is the follow-up to 'The Amazing Journey' which focusses on the Gospels and looks at different aspects of the life of Jesus.

The Amazing Acts

Children see the message of Jesus spread like wild fire in the first century A.D. as they are taken through the exhibition by the apostle Paul. The children travel through Asia and Europe, as far as Spain, until Paul arrives in Rome for the very last time. Roman food menu's are on the food tasting table.

Noah's Ark Model

The latest addition to our schools resources. This is an on-going project of Foundation Matters which should be ready for schools during 2010.
